We hope you’ve heard about this exciting event already!
This Sunday (24 June) on the Pollokshields Community Common (formerly the Bowling Green at Kenmure Street), the UK premiere of the five new Pollokshields Together films will be shown. More details below.
These films highlight, in a fun and thought provoking way through local children, some of the issues of “inconsiderate behaviour” that the community struggles with, among them speeding.
The project has pulled together children from across Pollokshields’ local schools to star in five short films, directed by our own Kate E. Deeming and filmed by local professional filmmaker Basharat Khan.
The films had their world premiere on Saturday at the 75th edition of one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world: the Venice Biennale!
